Buddha Quotes | Positive Thinking

Our actions are all led by the mind; mind is their master, mind is their maker.

If one acts or speaks with a defiled state of mind, then suffering follows like the cart-wheel

that follows the foot of the ox.

Our actions are all led by the mind; mind is their master, mind is their maker.

If one acts or speaks with a pure state of mind, then happiness follows like a shadow that

remains behind without departing.

An Active Sun During a Total Eclipse

Explanation: Sometimes, a total eclipse of the Sun is an opportunity. Taking advantage of such, the above image shows the solar eclipse earlier this month as covered and uncovered by several different solar observatories. The innermost image shows the Sun in ultraviolet light as recorded over a few hours by the SWAP instrument aboard the PROBA2 mission in a sun-synchronous low Earth orbit. This image is surrounded by a ground-based eclipse image, reproduced in blue, taken from Gabon. Further out is a circularly blocked region used to artificially dim the central sun by the LASCO instrument aboard the Sun-orbiting SOHO spacecraft. The outermost image -- showing the outflowing solar corona -- was taken by LASCO ten minutes after the eclipse and shows an outflowing solar corona.

Model Miranda Kerr is being accused of stretching the truth

Model Miranda Kerr is being accused of stretching the truth - and her waistline - with a little creative photo shopping.

The ex Victoria's Secret Angel said she didn't realise the image she posted on Instagram had been photoshopped.

It all started when the former Victoria's Secret Angel posted a photo of herself at one of the underwear giant's fashion shows on Instagram.

Kerr didn't take part in this year's show, so she posted a photo from last year's show with the caption: "Sending love and best wishes to the #vsangels from Japan xxx", the Daily Mail reported.

Melissa Bachman Blasted Online

Gone are the days when hunting was considered an active sport and applauded for being an act of bravery. Today is the time of animal rights activism. If American television presenter and avid hunter Melissa Bachman was slightly aware of animal rights, she would have never posted a dead lion picture on social media. Bachman is now facing public outrage for glorifying hunting after she posted pictures of her with a lion she claimed to have killed in South Africa.

Google wins the right to legally scan books for the Web

After eight years of battling in court, Google has won the right to scan books and publish them online – for now.

U.S. Circuit Judge Denny Chin issued a decision on Thursday in New York, saying that Google Books, which provides Web users with access to previews and full versions of more than 20 million titles, is “highly transformative” due to the way it was implemented, and clearly falls into the copyright law’s exception for “fair use” because Google only provides “snippets” of copyrighted works for which it does not have publishing rights.
