Always Look In the Inside

I remember reading a story once about a man who was exploring some cavesOcean
by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch
of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled up some clay and
left them out in the sun to bake. They didn’t look like much, but they
intrigued the man so he took the bag out of the cave with him.As he strolled along the beach, to pass the time, he would throw the
clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could throw.

He thought little about it until he dropped one of the balls and it
cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone.
Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each
contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of
jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left, then it struck him.

He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of
the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves.
Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have had tens of
thousands, but he just threw it all away.

You know sometimes, it’s like that with people. We look at someone,
maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn’t
look like much from the outside. It isn’t always beautiful or sparkling,
so we discount it; we see that person as less important than someone
more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy.

But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that
person. There is a treasure hidden in every one of us. We are
wonderfully made. Not just our physical bodies, our spiritual selves,
which are sometimes hidden from others by the *earthen vessel*

But if you take the time to get to know that person, and if you ask the
Spirit to show you that person the way He sees them, then the clay
begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly
smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration
that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him
and is willing to trust him with his friendship.

Maybe This Time

two old friends meet again wearing older faces
talk about places they’ve been
two old sweethearts fell apart
somewhere along the globe
how are they to know
that someday they’ll meet again
and never need for more than reminicising

** maybe this time
it’ll be love and they’ll find
maybe now they can be more than just friends
she’s back in his life
and it feels so right
maybe this time
love won’t end

it’s the same old feeling back again
it’s the one that they had back when
they were to young to know when love’s real
but somehow some things never change
and even time hasn’t cooled the flame
it’s burning here and brighter than it did before
it got another chance and if they take it

**

she’s smiling like she used to smile
way back then
he’s feeling like he used to feel
way back when they tried
what something can’t been
waiting for this magic moment

Victims of Love

Our hearts have been to battle
Our souls have been to war
We’ve lost the will to carry on , we don’t believe no more
Oh why is it that we got it set
That this could never happen to us
How could it be . cause baby here we are

Victims of love are broken down unfair
So sad to see the debris
Scattered everywhere
Victims of love , still cannot believe
We are the victims of love
We cannot retreat

It used to be so easy , it used to be so good
We had an understanding that got misunderstood
I thought we are survivors and we’ll never go down
But now were just outsiders as our love
Comes stumbling down

Maybe we played it a little bit to sure
And everything is hearts and roses
Now fate stand still and closed the door
And we were just left standing
Till we realized the ending
Why so near …
Where do we go from here …

Love and Freedom

It is said that “when you love someone, set him free, but if he comes back again, then you’ll know, it was meant to be”

But i say, it’s not really one hundred percent true. Maybe, it’s true to others, but to me, it’s not. I have love a man in my life. Love him in a sense that he became the center of my life. All my hopes and dreams were with him. If i have to exaggerate things, he was the air that I breathe. Life became so meaningful with him. We have had our piece of misunderstandings, we fought, we discussed a lot, we broke up and we made up. Until we decided to let each other explore things on our own. We were still committed at that time, but since we were apart from each other, to do away with the pressure of demanding something from one another, we decided to let go. “Okay, you go on your own, i go my way. If you find someone better than me, tell me so i know what am i going to do” and things settled that way for us.

I enjoyed my freedom, i flirted with other men, at work, at internet and others. I go out with friends enjoyed their company without worries of explaining to him after. I thought things can be taken that lightly. I thought that, that kind of relationship was refreshing. After sometime, I never heard from him, then it turned into months, years… and so on. He never said anything, until the news shattered me and my freedom. He was married. He never told me.

I realized that since I haven’t heard anything from him, I was hopeful that he still love me, that he would return after his journey to his freedom. I never thought that he could be that weak with temptations. I never thought he could do such thing to me. I knew him to be a man of his words but he never told me. So, what i did? Nothing! I was too proud to admit I was hurt. I was too proud to admit I still love him. I showed the world what was expected of me and hide what I really felt. Can you blame me? Can someone say i should have gone to him and tell him what i really felt? Yes, someone did, but i was too proud!

And then I realized i was totally free. But it was so lonely. Life, knowing without him was really different. It’s frustrating… it’s so unhappy. Missing him wasn’t really the hardest part of it, it’s the thought that I once had him and didn’t do anything to work things out was what broke my heart. But to mend things was too late.

There are really things that we want to own for the rest of our lives. But we have to accept that fact that we can’t have what’s not really for us. People come to our lives, we may learn to love them in the most especial way, but when it’s time to go, we have to let them and let each other grow apart. It’s difficult, it is painful, but in time, all wounds would heal. It will leave us a scar, but it would only remind us that because of that scar, we learned our lessons well.

5 Tips For Better Sleep

If you do everything right each night—you know, going to bed early and avoiding drinking—your body's internal clock should wake you up at the same time every morning. For the rest of us, here are five simple ways to a better night's sleep:

1.) Charge your BlackBerry in the Living Room
Having too many tech toys in the bedroom makes your mind associate the room with productivity, not relaxation. "You want your brain to know that when you're in bed, that's a place for sleep and sleep only," says Philip Gehrman, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and a specialist in sleep medicine. If nothing else, put that bad boy on silent mode. Whatever e-mails you get can wait until dawn.

2.) Be Cool
You think it's too hot, and she's always too cold. Since she'll probably sleep with an extra blanket no matter what the room temperature, lower the thermostat to just about our ideal comfort level, and let her layer as necessary. "You can always add more blankets on one side," says Gehrman. "It's harder to cool off." Another option: Invest in a dual-weight comforter, which has heavier down in one side than the other.

3.) Go Mattress Shopping
Talk about something being worth your hard-earned cash. Studies show that 47% of people lose at least three hours of sleep per week due to their partner's snoring, tossing and turning, and insomnia. If her restless sleep keeps you up, buy a new mattress, says Gehrman. Your bed should be big and stable enough so that her movements don't disrupt your side of the bed.

4.) Do it Sideways
You don't have to sacrifice sleep because your girl needs to cuddle. Lay in the classic spoon position to give her the contact she needs and you the sleep you crave. There might be even more benefits. "If you're sleeping on a good-quality mattress and pillow, the position has actually been shown to help lower stress levels while boosting intimacy," says Jodi Fidler, a chiropractor and sleep expert at Davis Chiropractic in Minneapolis.

5.) Go Old-School Clock
Staring all night at the glowing digital display while you're trying to fall asleep can jack up your stress levels and keep you up. So trade your digital clock for an old-fashioned one with hands. That way, when the lights go out, you can't tell what time it is. Unless of course, you're crawling into bed at the crack of dawn. In which case, you're pretty much screwed anyway—at least when it comes to sleep.

15 Ways They Could Get People to Actually Watch TV Again

Our generation spends more time on the internet and gaming then they do just about everything else. Hell, you're probably even on the internet right now. As a result, ratings are down all over, so the question is, what would the networks have to do to get us to watch again?

Since you're funnier than us and smarter than the networks, we asked you to photoshop a few suggestions and gave $50 to the winner, who we've posted below. But first...

Go Ahead, Be Happy!

Generally I like to smile and be happy, but sometimes I’ll catch a glimpse of myself passing a mirror and think, “Whoa, why so serious?” (or angry, frustrated, etc.) And when I observe myself, I can see that I’m holding onto that mode. If I ask myself why, I don’t have a good answer.
